Before You Wander

PLEASE READ BEFORE YOU COME

The stage of NEKOMACHI is not a theater — it is the night streets of Shimokitazawa.
To fully enjoy the night, we have a few requests.
It takes 3 minutes to read. Please, before you set out.

i. — Check-in Time

Check-in Time

Please complete check-in between 30 and 10 minutes before the start time printed on your ticket. The experience lasts about 45 minutes.

⚠ The time on your ticket is the performance start time.
*Check-in gets crowded toward the end. Please arrive with time to spare.
*If you miss the check-in window, you may not be able to enjoy the full experience.
ii. — Meeting Point

Meeting Point

Check-in takes place near the East Exit of Shimokitazawa Station (outside the ticket gates). The experience ends near Setagaya-Daita Station.

*The start and end points are different stations.
*Please plan your belongings with the end point in mind.
iii. — What to Bring

What to Bring

  • 1Your own smartphone
  • 2Your own earphones (or headphones)
  • 3A full charge on both (recommended)
  • 4The “ON THE TRIP” app, downloaded in advance
*If your earphones have noise cancelling, please turn it off. The sounds of the town are part of the work.
*No rentals of phones, earphones, or chargers are available.
*No Wi-Fi is provided. Please bring a smartphone with mobile data.
iv. — What to Wear

What to Wear & Carry

We recommend keeping your belongings minimal (a small pouch). For larger luggage, please use coin lockers at stations or nearby facilities in advance (no cloakroom is available).

You will walk the streets of Shimokitazawa, including stairs up and down. Please come in comfortable clothes and shoes.

*There is no restroom break during the experience — please go beforehand.
*Please keep your valuables with you at all times.
v. — Safety

For Your Safety

This performance involves walking the night streets for about 45 minutes. For safety, we ask those who fall under the following not to participate. Thank you for your understanding.

  • Preschool-age children
  • Those with visual or hearing concerns
  • Those with walking difficulties or wheelchair users (the route includes stairs and slopes)
*We cannot take responsibility for accidents or trouble during the walk (except equipment issues). Thank you for your understanding.
vi. — Notes

Other Notes

The performance runs rain or shine. It may be cancelled in severe weather such as typhoons; updates will be posted on the official site and SNS.

*Reselling tickets without the organizer’s consent is strictly prohibited.
*Performance details, casts, and schedules may change unavoidably. No date changes or refunds are available in such cases.
*Photos and videos may be taken for archival and publicity purposes, and you may appear in them. If you prefer not to, please let our staff know beforehand.
